Making a will is the only way of controlling the distribution of your money, property and possessions after your death. Don’t allow the state to decide who inherits your assets. Take control now!
We spend most of our lives working to provide for ourselves and our families, so it’s only natural to want to help our loved ones after we pass on. Your will does much more than just distribute your assets; it enables you to decide who will have the power to manage your estate and who will be guardians for any children. It also enables you to plan for inheritance tax. By listening to your needs and asking the right questions, our team can provide the guidance required to make informed decisions about the people and causes that matter to you. You can also appoint us to administer your estate to ease the burden on your family.
Even if you already have a will, you should check whether it needs updating. Events such as marriage and divorce can invalidate a will. Perhaps your circumstances have changed since your will was made and you now need to make different arrangements?
Our will writing service can be done completely remotely provided you have access to the internet, with all the support and advice you need from us over via the telephone, email and internet.
We offer an advice-led Will writing service where we can discuss your specific needs before drafting a bespoke Will for you.
We offer a fully secure gdpr document storage facility for just £25 (plus VAT) per annum.
Life Locker: https://lifelocker.co.uk/
Life Locker is a secure online tool that keeps your memories, plans, and data safe. It’s up to you who you share your unique Life Locker with and you can do so by nominating keyholders or sharing stories online. Life Locker is a free service where you can capture your memories, dictate and add photos and videos, and write your life story. You can also record your phone passwords and social media passwords so your loved ones can access your phone and social media accounts after you pass, as these are not recorded in your will.
We register with Certainty, the national wills register. This is the Law Society’s endorsed provider of a national will register and is used by thousands of solicitors every day to register and search for wills. We can register any online wills for you with the National Will Register for a one-off fee of £25 (plus VAT).
Safe will storage is vital. Even in today’s digital age, only original copies of wills and deeds are legally binding. Electronic data is much easier to corrupt, whether by accident or design, than paper, and a digital copy is thus inadmissible. If your loved ones cannot locate your Will, then your assets will not be distributed as you wished.
Without a Lasting Power of Attorney, your family could struggle to manage your finances, your health, and welfare. It’s always better to be prepared for every eventuality and it will only take 30 minutes to one hour of your time. Don’t leave it until it is too late. Lasting Power of Attorney is required for someone else to make decisions about your finances and your health and personal care if you are no longer able to. By appointing someone you can trust to have the legal right to make decisions for you, you’re in a much better position.
